W.D.V.G.A. History
An inaugural meeting of prospective members to set up a Steering Committee to form the Wimmera District Veteran Golfers Association
was called from members of Wimmera Golf Clubs to be held at the Horsham Golf Club on the 29th August 1984.
The Steering Committee scheduled the first Veterans Golf Day for Horsham Golf Club on 22nd October 1984.
Costs for this day were to be: Green Fees $3.00, Lunch $3.00, Trophies and Management costs $1.00.
28 players played in the inaugural Wimmera District Veteran Golfers Day at Horsham Golf Club.
At this inaugural Wimmera Veteran Golfers Day a motion was moved that formed the Wimmera District Veteran Golfers Association and the following members were elected to form the first committee. The first AGM was held in November 1984.

Membership: Association Membership was set at $5.00 per annum.
The next Wimmera District Veteran Golfers Association event was scheduled for 7th November 1984 at Warracknabeal Golf Club.
2024 will represent the 40th Anniversary of the Association.
